1. Booking & Stay Requirements

• Minimum Stay: 2 consecutive nights mandatory
• Check-In: 15:00 (3 PM) – Flexible with prior arrangement
• Check-Out: 11:00 (11 AM) – Flexible with prior arrangement
• ID Verification: Valid passport/ID required for all guests at check-in

2. Payment Policy

• Deposit: 50% non-refundable to secure booking
• Balance: Due 14 days before arrival
• Payment Methods: EFT/Bank Transfer only

3. Cancellation Policy

• >30 days before arrival: Deposit forfeited
• 14-30 days before arrival: 50% of total fee
• <14 days before arrival: Full forfeiture unless villa rebooked
• No-shows: Full charge

4. Property Disclaimer & Risk Acknowledgement

Guests stay at their own risk and agree that:

• Owners accept no liability for injury, death, loss, or damage
• Property is a working game/livestock farm with inherent dangers
• Off-grid systems (solar/water/gas) may experience interruptions
• Personal belongings are guest’s sole responsibility

5. Strict Farm Rules

Wildlife Safety

• ABSOLUTELY NO feeding/approaching animals
• Baboons present:
  • Keep doors/windows CLOSED at all times when unattended
  • Secure all food in baboon-proof containers
  • Never approach or attempt to chase baboons
  • Report sightings immediately to management

Property Access

• Stay on designated paths only
• No access to farm operations/equipment

Pets Policy

• STRICTLY prohibited (due to wildlife conflict)

Children Safety

• Constant adult supervision required
• No unsupervised exploration

Guest Conduct

• Quiet hours: 22:00-07:00
• No smoking inside villas (designated outdoor areas only)

6. Guest Liability

• Responsible for all damages/extra cleaning
• A R1500 Charge will apply for:
  • Property damage
  • Rule violations
  • Late check-out without arrangement
  • Excessive cleaning (beyond normal use)

7. Force Majeure

Not liable for cancellations due to:

• Natural disasters
• Government restrictions
• Utility failures
• Wildlife incidents
• Farm operational emergencies

8. Indemnity

Guests indemnify Keurkloof Farm Villas, its owners, and staff against all claims related to:

• Personal injury or property damage
• Wildlife encounters
• Service interruptions
• Violation of farm rules

9. Privacy & Governing Law

• Personal data used solely for reservations
• Governing Law: South African law
• Jurisdiction: Western Cape courts

Mandatory Safety Protocols

1. Farm Boundaries: Never cross marked boundaries/fences
2. Emergency Contacts: Displayed in each villa
3. Weather Advisory: Prepare for sudden valley weather changes
